Wall hanging traditional Indonesian Ikat Weaving or throw. Lepo Lorun is a collective of women only artisans from Flores, a small island in Indonesia. The Natsukashi x Lepo Lorun series is a collection of intricate weavings known as ‘ikat’. This piece was collaboratively designed with the women of Lepo Lorun. Hand woven on traditional looms which are only as wide as the women can stretch their arms, each piece is part of a 45 step process that can take up to 8 weeks to complete. The women use 100% natural dyes + hand-spun cotton which they grow + harvest themselves. This very special collaboration supports sustainability within the cotton industry, traditional textile making + women in business.
