This design is a traditional motif from the Indonesian archipelago. The women weavers from Sumba are renowned for producing textiles known for there intricate patterns + varied motifs. Additionally the women are self sufficient in making textiles + will grow, harvest + spin the cotton, make the natural dyes + design the traditional resist-dye motifs that symbolize the life and cosmological beliefs of the Sumba people.

Please note this textile is handwoven with love in rural Indonesia and any small imperfection in thread is considered part of the beauty of traditional ikat weaving.
